Soufriere Education District 8 Office is located in the district of Soufriere on the compound of the Soufriere primary school.

The Soufriere Education District Office is an extension of the Main Office of the Ministry of

Education, Human Resource Development., St. Lucia and was created in October of 1993. This

office was established after a performance review was conducted in the Soufriere basin.

The

purpose of this review was initiated by the fact that schools in the Soufriere basin were experiencing difficulties and thus was created to tackle any challenges and issues at the district level.
